Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder
Helping find confidence, love, trust, and stability in life again.
Life’s challenges can feel dark, heavy, or even impossible to deal with.

Most people who start therapy with me feel stuck repeating the same painful patterns.
Perhaps you can relate; maybe you don’t look forward to much or you feel like life is out of control.

Do you relate to the following experiences?
Maybe you worry that these feelings mean something is wrong with you and you might be "broken".
-
You have a lot of difficulty trusting others and trusting that they will stay around. You find yourself constantly worrying that they will see "the real you", and decide that they no longer want you in their life.
-
You feel as if your emotions have more control over you than you have over them, and wish there was a way to feel more safe and secure in your life.
-
You may struggle with impulsivity, whether it's related to your eating habits, spending habits, sexuality, anger, or other areas, and you may have come to view these as means of "self-sabotage" that you wish you had more control over.
-
You may have felt alone, like an outsider, or as if you "don't belong", for a long time, even when you are with others, friends, or family.
-
You can't shake chronic feelings that something is "missing" and you or your life feel hollow.
-
Sometimes you might even feel like no matter how hard you try, you just can't get it right, and maybe there is no hope for you to feel "normal", have fulfilling relationships, and feel you are worthy.

If these sound true for you, I want you to know that even though you might feel like a failure or broken for needing help, that couldn’t be further from the truth. It takes courage to become aware about what you are going through and ask for help.

Even if you don’t believe you deserve care, you do. You deserve to receive care and the support to connect with the inner reserves that still lie undiscovered.

Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder can lead toward a more fulfilling life.
I understand how horrible this feels and how terribly hard it is! I've worked with many people who feel this way and while they often began from a place of hopelessness, through our work together:

-
They have come to feel an empowered sense of control in their lives, their emotional world, and their relationships.
-
They have come to better understand why their emotions were rapidly firing, swiftly shifting, and feeling uncontrollable.
-
They have built confidence in their understanding of their relationships and their capacity to relate to others in a way that brought relational trust, security, stability, and fulfilling depth.
-
Finally, they came to believe that there was absolutely nothing wrong with them and that they were just as worthy, special and deserving as others.
-
They have connected with a deeper sense of fulfillment and "completeness" in their lives and in connection with their personal values.
-
They have found more control over impulsivity, getting to the root of these drives, and managing to channel their energies in directions that contribute more towards their well-being and personal joy.

This therapy consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, I will guide you towards solutions and provide guidance based on my experience and expertise in brain science; I play an active role. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:
1. First, I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles and story with me.
2. Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.
3. We will start with helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging life situations
4. We will also work to discover what your goals are in therapy and in life.
5. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we’ll figure out approaches are needed to help you reach them, whether that is incorporating Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, combined with additional approaches.
